Mitote Food Park Finds a New Home: A Fresh Start for Santa Rosa’s Culinary Scene
Santa Rosa’s beloved Mitote Food Park has officially reopened at 100 Sebastopol Road, just three weeks after vacating its original Roseland location. This swift transition was made possible when owner Octavio Díaz secured the 1.7-acre property, previously home to Roseland University Prep, in February. The move was prompted by the ongoing construction of the Tierra de Rosas development, which will bring affordable housing, a public plaza, and a mercado to the area .The Press Democrat+3Sonoma Magazine+3La Prensa Sonoma+3
Despite the new location still being a work in progress, Mitote held a soft opening on April 19 to support its food trucks during this transitional period. Díaz expressed his gratitude on social media, inviting diners to “stop in and show them some love” as they continue to build out the space .Sonoma Magazine+1La Prensa Sonoma+1
Once completed, the new Mitote location will feature a bar and ample indoor seating, providing a comfortable and vibrant space for patrons to enjoy the diverse array of Mexican regional cuisines offered by the food trucks. The park aims to be a cultural hub, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of Oaxaca, Jalisco, Michoacán, Yucatán, and Mexico City .Eater SF+5Sonoma Magazine+5La Prensa Sonoma+5The Press Democrat+1Sonoma County Tourism+1
